Boat Rental FAQ 

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We operate out of Paradise Cove Marina, (17141 Rocky Ridge Rd, Austin, TX 78734). Please call the office for custom pickup requests or pickups on Lake Austin.

DO YOU OFFER SELF CAPTAINED BOAT RENTALS?

Sorry but no, we provide trained captains to ensure a safe and enjoyable rental and is required by our insurance. Unfortunately, we do not allow you to rent a boat without one of our captains or drive the boat yourself. Wakeline Boat Rentals hires and trains only the most qualified captains, checkout our Google reviews. 

DE YOU HAVE AN AGE LIMIT?

No, however you must be 21+ to rent the boat. All ages are welcome! We do recommend bringing your own coast guard approved life jacket for children under 50 lbs. 

CAN WE PICK-UP ANYWHERE ELSE? 

Our pick-up/drop-off location is Paradise Cove Marina. We do accomodate charters on Lake Austin and will be happy to pick you up from a private residence (fees apply). We do not pickup from travis county, LCRA or other marinas. 

IS PICK-UP/DROP-OFF AVAILABLE AT RESTAURANTS?

In most cases if you are a patron of the restaurant they will let us drop/pick-up. This is subject to Wakeline captain discretion.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL COST?

Boat, life jackets, captain, gas, pickup from our designated locations, requested sporting equipment, cooler, speakers, lilypad on pontoons, and a great time.

DO MY GUESTS AND I NEED TO FILL OUT A WAIVER?

Liability Waiver

Yes, please fill out the waiver as soon as you book. The waiver will be sent in a separate email when you book. 

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY RENTAL? 

We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early for your boat rental. All boat rental waivers should be filled out and submitted before arrival to avoide wasting time at the dock. Your boat rental starts at the scheduled time, we do not compensate for late arrivals. 

WHERE DOES THE BOAT GO DURING MY RENTAL? 

Our surf boat captains seek out the best water to offer the most advantageous conditions for surfing. windage, traffic and time of day play a part in how we chose where to go. Our most popular party boat destination is Devils Cove, This is where hundreds of boats gather to party. Give us a shout if your group has any special requests. 

ARE THERE COOLERS ON THE BOAT?

Yes! A 110qt yeti cooler comes on every boat for you to fill with ice, beverages, and snacks of your choosing. Please do not bring your own cooler. 

CAN WE BRING MORE PEOPLE THAN WHAT IS ON THE RESERVATION?

No. All of our boats are approved for a certain weight limit. The reservation is approved based on weight capacity not individual body. 

DO I NEED TO BRING ICE?

Yes please. Help our busy captains out by bringing your own ice! Ice is available on the lake if you forget. 

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

No, we do not allow pets. Service dogs are welcome. 

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL OR GLASS BOTTLES?

Yes, You can bring alcohol, we do not offer liquor packages. Glass liquor bottles only, if you can find it in plastic or aluminum, opt for that. No glass beer bottles or jello shots please. 

CAN I BRING POOL TOYS AND FLOATIES?

Yes! Any float and blowup items that will add to your groups experience are allowed.

ARE THERE BATHROOMS? 

DO THE BOATS HAVE SHADE? 

Yes, all of our boats have shade. Our surf boats have bimini tops and our party boats have a second floor which provides ample shade. Sun screen and hats are always recommended. 

IS TIP INCLUDED IN THE BOAT RENTAL COST?

A 20% mandatory gratuity will be added at checkout. If your captain went above & beyond on your boating experience, extra tips are always greatly appreciated!

 

EQUIPMENT FAQ

WILL THERE BE A LILYPAD ON OUR BOAT?

If you are renting one of our party boats, there will be a lilypad included for your group to roll out and lounge on.

CAN YOU TUBE BEHIND DOUBLE DECKER PARTY BOATS? 

No, we do not allow for any tow behind activities or water sports on our party boats. We do offer tubing and water sports on our Wake/surf boat. 

SHOULD I BRING MY OWN LIFE JACKET?

Boat rental guests are welcome to bring a lifejacket if they feel more comfortable wearing their own. Children under 50lbs are recommended to bring a jacket as it is hard to find a good snug fit. However we do provide USCG approved type II jackets on our party boats and USCG approved type III jackets on our wake/surf boats for all guests.

WHAT WATTER SPORTS DO YOU OFFER?

We offer wake surfing and wakeboarding. Skiing and tubing available upon request. We have kid sizes of all equipment.
